Wanting to try my hand at CSS3 transformations, I decided to write a small Star Wars scroller (or crawler, as it's colloquially called).
This was fortunately a lot easier than I would have thought. You can check out the source code and, if you want to, steal it.
I hope it runs super smooth in your browser (currently only works correctly in Safari). I wasn't able to get the same fonts they used on the silver screen. Those would be News Gothic and Univers.
Note that the text itself is stolen from A NEW HOPE, so that is, in fact, copyright. However, this page was actually made for educational purposes, so I think I'm covered by the American fair use clause. (Should I be wrong, please give me a heads up).

Episode IV
A NEW HOPE
It is a period of civil war. Rebel spaceships, striking from a hidden base, have won their first victory against the evil Galactic Empire.
During the battle, Rebel spies managed to steal secret plans to the Empire's ultimate weapon, the DEATH STAR, an armored space station with enough power to destroy an entire planet.
Pursued by the Empire's sinister agents, Princess Leia races home aboard her starship, custodian of the stolen plans that can save her people and restore freedom to the galaxy ....
