Although Japanese games such as Final Fantasy VII: Advent of Children and Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater are great, the titles themselves are just out of this world! I mean, what is "Metal Gear Solid" supposed to mean anyway? Anyway, after discussing this on a mailinglist I wanted to prove a point and make a Japanese title generator, and here is the result. I really must say I'm looking forward to some of these awesome titles! Have a great weekend everybody! :)

Update (2006): If you're serious about this, you should check out Markov chains, write up a big, fat file with all the titles you know about of japanese game titles, run that through a program that builds Markov-chains, and enjoy the output. If you use big enough k-grams, you shouldn't be surprised to get only existing titles. Reduring k-grams yields the funniest titles.
